What is Mobile StrongBOX?
Mobile StrongBOX is designed to protect your entire phone's data. The application uses a strong public-key crypto-system that is optimized for mobile devices.
Mobile StrongBOX uses strong 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption for data and 1024-bit RSA encryption for keys. All cryptographic operations are performed using standard NOKIA libraries to ensure there are no security gaps or backdoors.
Any kind of information can be secured with Mobile StrongBOX. It does not only protect your data but also helps you if you have many things to memorize like passwords and credit card PINs. With Mobile StrongBOX you will not have to worry about these things any more!
Storing passwords, PINs, credit cards info, membership, login credentials etc. is now very easy and safe. SMS-es, MMS-es, files and folders can also be added to strongbox, keeping the hierarchical structure of folders(for example you can encrypt your private photos and videos so no one else can view them). Other developers offer some of these features in 2 or 3 different products, with Mobile StrongBOX you have them all in a single one, all data in a single secure place.
Key features: 256 AES + 1024 RSA, user-friendly interface, fully customizable templates(add/remove/rename/move fields), multiple files/folders import/export in one operation, no export needed to view the files(view them directly from strongbox), secure erasing of imported files ( if user wants to), copy/paste,arrange items however you like with move function, search function, auto-lock, multiple strongboxes, import data from CSV files, backup/restore, trash.
With Mobile StrongBOX you have your private information in your pocket anywhere, ON-THE-GO.
Mobile StrongBOX does not use license keys, so you pay once and use forever!!

Nokia N9(MeeGo/Harmattan) security code
Unfortunately I did not port Mobile StrongBOX to MeeGo because Nokia did not put some required crypto libraries on the device, but this post is about both Mobile StrongBOX and N9. I have a N9 for almost 4 months, yes, this is the best device that I've used so far, MeeGo swipe UI is great, it won prestigous A&AD Yellow Pencil award for both software and hardware design. When first played with it, I saw Track&Protect application and I was curious what it does. Just to play with it, I was forced to create an user account and set a security code. OK, I did it, but never activated the track options of this app. Now, 4 months later, because I have many private info(photos, videos, messages) on my phone, I tried to set an unlock code for my N9. This code prevents someone from unlocking my phone if I lose it, but it does not helps when the phone is connected to a PC or in case of firmware reflash. So, this code offers just basic protection. But I was not able to set the code, because it already has been setted! By who??!! I did not! After trying some default codes like 12345,00000, without success, I remembered that I setted a code for Track&Protect app, but did not remember it! Hopefuly, every time when I set a code/password, I save it to my Mobile StrongBOX app, that I use on my Symbian phones. And I was surprised to see that it was the exact lock code of my N9. So Track&Protect sets this lock code, but do not properly inform the user.
I wanted to write this post because I know that there are many other users that have the same problem as me. I know because I searched the web for a solution to disable this lock code but did not find a proper one and many users faced the same issue.

Symbian Belle - Nokia 600, Nokia 700 and Nokia 701
Nokia unveiled its latest update to the Symbian OS as well as three new devices that support Mobile StrongBOX. Belle is indeed coming, and it has a fresh nice UI experience. The successor to Anna brings NFC sharing and pairing functionality to the table, along with three additional home screens (up to six), a dynamic lock screen, live widgets in different sizes, and a pull-down taskbar and notification menu.
The Nokia 700 features a 1GHz CPU, a 3.2-inch AMOLED "ClearBlack" display with Gorilla Glass, NFC, 5MP full-focus camera, pentaband 3G radio, and is constructed using green materials such as bioplastics and recycled metals. The 700 also has a talk time of 7.3 hours and will come in five different colors.
The Nokia 701 features the brightest ever mobile phone display, taking advantage of a 3.5-inch IPS LCD screen with the same ClearBlack tech and Gorilla Glass found in the 700. It has the best specs of the bunch, with a 1GHz CPU, pentaband 3G radio, NFC, 8MP full focus camera with dual LED and a front-facing camera, and 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 40GB using a microSD card). The 701 comes in four hues and offers 17 hours of GSM talk time (8.8 hours on 3G).
Finally, the Nokia 600 is a music-centric phone sold at a lower price point. With that said, the specs still look pretty good here: alongside the 1GHz CPU, 3.2-inch nHD display, 5MP full focus camera with LED and 720p video capture, NFC, FM transmitter and 2GB internal storage (with external memory available using microSD), it's also Nokia's loudest phone, registering at 106 phons. The 600 also features an FM radio with internal antenna, eliminating the need to plug in headphones to listen in. Battery life is still very good, rated at 15 hours of GSM talk time

"With this app, you can store passwords, PINs, credit card info, login credentials and much more Those secret SMS’s, MMS’s , files and folders can also be stored in the strongbox. You can copy/paste, make the application auto-lock and keep multiple strongboxes, your trash is also accessible from the app, delete the trash so that you can gain more memory.
If you wondering what type of encryption the Mobile StrongBox uses then here it is, 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption for data and 1024-bit RSA encryption for keys.
Another thing wort knowing, this application also uses the strong public-key crypto-system which is especially optimized for smartphones. This application is worth more to download rather then the Kaspersky Mobile Internet app since there aren’t active viruses for the Symbian^3 OS."

Constructing multiple strongboxes in version 2.41
If you want to construct multiple strongboxes in version 2.41, you must construct them in different locations, because otherwise the new one will overwrite the previous one! This issue is fixed and will be included in the next release!
If you have upgraded to the full version and you want to continue with your old data, please go to Settings->Options->Import strongbox. Select the root folder(named Strongbox) of your previous strongbox, hit 'OK' and select 'Save' from Options menu.
